Late Halloween

I know it is late and things have been crazy around here so here are pictures from Halloween (Lucy's first Halloween). Scott went again as a crazy doctor and drove the hurst from work where he works. He loves halloween and always goes all out. I went as a Nun and Lucy was a pumpkin.

Family Hobbies

Scott's brother-in-law, Dustin, is big into flying and has earned his pilots license along the way. So for a hobby he purchased a body of a plane and has been working on rebuilding it for the last few years. His wife, Katie, calls the plane, "Mistress". Cause when Dustin is not with Katie, he is out playing with the "Mistress". He just recently finished the plane this week and sent us some pictures to show off. The plane as not left the ground yet, it still needs to go through inspections and test, but it will get to leave the ground for the first time this week (HOPEFULLY). Here is a picture of the plane when they first purchased the body and then the after pictures of the hard work put in to rebuilding it.

Lucy receives her baby blessing/ Mary's birthday

On, Sunday, 8/24/08, Lucy was given a name and blessing from her father in church. After, we all got together at Scott's parents' house to celebrate Scott's mom, Mary's birthday. (I won't mention her age.) We had fun gathered around their table. Annie, Shane, and Jayleen were there, along with Carolyn (Scott's aunt), Miles, Sarah, and my parents.

Sophie is born!

My sister Camille and her husband Steve just had their second baby girl. She weighed 6lbs 13oz. My parents drove up to see them at the hospital Friday morning. This baby now completes the trio of grandbabies being born this summer on the Nelson side. There are now 5 Nelson grandkids- 4 girls, and 1 boy!!

Christmas this year will definitely be exciting and no doubt very busy!!

FIRST TIME AT BEACH

We took Lucy to the beach with us, when we took the young men from the church. It was a bright sunny day and cool at the same time. Lucy slept most of the time in the tent (with her mother) but enjoyed the weather later on. Scott loves to be in the water so there was most of his time spent with his buddy Darren. Overall it was a great day and fun filled.

Matt and Jenn's baby

I want to make a posting about my brother and wife's baby boy, Aethon, who was born on 8/3/08. He and Lucy are exactly 4 weeks apart. Matt and Jenn live in Phoenix, so on Monday morning, 8/4, my mom, sister Annie, her 4-yr.-old daughter, myself, and 1-month-old Lucy drove to the hospital to meet them. When Aethon was born, he weighed 9 lbs. 3 oz. And Lucy at the time probably weighed about 8 lbs. at a month old! Aethon is definitely going to be able to stand his ground with 4 girl cousins!
